Alexander Nderitu is a Kenyan-born novelist, scriptwriter, Internet guru and pioneer of e-books and on-demand systems. In November 2001, he became Africa’s first ‘digital novelist’ with the Internet publication of his signature thriller, When the Whirlwind Passes, which was initially a free download on his website. He has been nominated for the Douglas Coupland Short Story Award and the Kwani? competition “The Kenya I Live In”. He is the Deputy Secretary-General of Kenya PEN, the local chapter of International PEN (the oldest literary movement in the world).
Alexander has always been a trail blazer of self-publishing, and in this masterclass shares new digital technologies for self-publishing, how to market and brand yourself as a writer nationally and internationally, discusses pricing and shows how to approach your writing as a business. A must attend for any aspiring writer or publisher.
